The Space

ADORABLE Fully furnished Cape Cod Beach Cottage with the cutest beachy vibe, right on Grand Canal in Venice, 1.5 Blocks to the Beach and Venice Boardwalk. This is truly one of the most charming neighborhoods in LA- But- this is not a place for parties!! It’s a quiet, high-end residential neighborhood. No extra guests, no loud music, no parties, no smoking anywhere on the property, even the decks. ALL DECKS CLOSE AT 10PM- no exceptions!! If this won’t work for you book somewhere else. This is a serious issue with neighbors.

You can walk or bike everywhere, (but 2-car parking is included) as well as brand new HDTV, Hi-speed WIFI internet, 3 Bikes, 3 boats, beach chairs, all utilities, beach towels, linens and all kitchen utensils, plus a laundry room with washer & dryer. You seriously won’t want to leave.

1 Mile to Santa Monica, 40 minutes to Disneyland, 15 minutes to Malibu, 14 mins to LAX, Great location! All furnishings brand new, beautiful, clean, light and (URL HIDDEN) really is as cute as I say it is!!

This is one of the original Venice Beach Cottages from the 1920’s but it’s been totally remodeled and updated with all the modern conveniences. It even has A/C even though you only need it about 3 days a year. Most of the time you simply open the many windows and the french doors to let in the ocean breezes since we are only 1.5 blocks from the beach. This cottage is right on Grand Canal so outside your back door you step onto a furnished deck and below that is one of the many walkways that allow you access to the entire Canal neighborhood. There’s even a small playground for kids on the canals. It may sleep 6 but it doesn’t feel cramped since it’s got a very open floor-plan with high ceilings, lots of natural light due to the skylights and lots of windows. From almost every angle of the cottage you have a view to the water and Grand Canal, plus you are super close to the beach. This is a very peaceful high end residential neighborhood; many of the homes are worth over 5 million, so the quality of the surroundings is about as good as it gets for a beach-side community.

There is one separate bedroom with a King sized bed that can be closed for privacy or left open to supervise kids or just take advantage of the canal views while you sit in bed. There is a large walk in closet that can accommodate everyone’s things, but under each twin daybed is more clothes storage. There is one bathroom so that might be a factor for some people. Just don’t spend an eternity in there- there’s no view from the bathroom anyway. Take a look at all my pics to get a better idea of the layout.

The Neighborhood

The Venice canals are one of LA’s best kept secrets and the best part of Venice bar none. No where else in LA will you find views like this, plus it’s just 1 1/2 blocks from the beach and a short walk from Abbott Kinney, one of the trendiest spots in LA with unique galleries, boutiques, restaurants and the monthly “First Fridays” where the entire street hosts gourmet food truck events…..a foodies delight. But this part of Venice is a quiet high end residential neighborhood. So act accordingly.
